The Aspen School District Food Service Department in the Aspen Elementary, Middle and High Schools is a district funded program not part of the State or Federal lunch programs.  The goal of the department is to ensure that all students have access to delicious, healthy, seasonal meals in order to grow their bodies, minds, and futures. All meals are made from locally grown, sustainable ingredients to the greatest extent possible while respecting the Districts Strategic Plan to be Stewards of Resources. We also want all students to understand the relationship between food, health, nutrition, cultures, environment, and business; the relationship children have with food will evolve into a circle benefiting not just themselves, but society as a whole.

Escuelas Primarias, Medias y Preparatorias de Aspen es un programa financiado por el distrito que no forma parte de los programas de almuerzos estatales o federales. El objetivo del departamento es garantizar que todos los estudiantes tengan acceso a comidas deliciosas, saludables y de temporada para hacer crecer sus cuerpos, mentes y futuros. Todas las comidas se elaboran con ingredientes sostenibles cultivados localmente en la mayor medida posible, respetando el Plan Estratégico del Distrito para ser Administradores de los Recursos. También queremos que todos los estudiantes entiendan la relación entre la alimentación, la salud, la nutrición, las culturas, el medio ambiente y los negocios; La relación que los niños tienen con la comida evolucionará hacia un círculo que beneficiará no solo a ellos mismos, sino a la sociedad en su conjunto.
