Student Conduct and Safety

The Transportation Department's mission is to provide safe, customer-oriented, and efficient transportation for our students and a positive, safe environment for our employees.

To ensure we are providing a level of service that matches the excellence expected of our district we provide yearly training to our drivers to maintain a high level of skills both behind the wheel and while interacting with students, parents, staff, and the community. All of our vehicles are equipped with video and audio surveillance in the event of any incidents that may require additional review with all video recordings strictly confidential.

In conjunction with this, we ask for the assistance of students in maintaining behavior that is conducive to a safe and responsible environment. These standards are based on state and federal regulations as well as best practices to ensure the safest ride possible for your child. Please read over our district policies to understand what is expected, and the consequences of actions that impede with this mission.

Bullying on the School Bus

Bullying is not tolerated in any way while on our buses. We understand that buses are especially susceptible to bullying due to a variety of factors of the behavior frequently not being seen or heard, and the inability of students to move away from bullies once the bus has started moving. Should your child experience bullying on the bus, please reach out to the Transportation Director immediately, so we can ensure that our drivers, department, and schools are aware of the developing situation. Safety is our number one priority and this includes mental, physical, and emotional well-being while on our buses.
