How do I sign up?

Follow this link or scan the QR code to sign up. Complete the Google Form to request your first and second dates of choice. Please choose a date that works with your schedule and minimizes missing class time. You will then receive a confirmation email from Garrett Seddon confirming your scheduled date and time along with permission forms to be completed.

What can I expect on my Every Student Flies field trip?

You will get the chance to take a FREE flight lesson in a DA-40NG aircraft with a Certified Flight Instructor and learn more about careers in aviation. You will leave with a takeaway package from the Aspen Flight Academy with information about career opportunities in aviation and an experience to remember!

What should I bring with me on the day of my flight?

Please wear comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather and wear closed-toed shoes. In winter a warm jacket, hat and gloves are recommended as we will spend some time outdoors. We also encourage you to bring water and a snack if you would like.

How do I get to the airport?

Students will need to provide their own transportation to and from the airport. If students will be taking RFTA, please plan on stopping at the AABC Airport bus stop (UV stop # 213, DV stop #82). Your flight instructor will meet you at the bus stop on the airport side (stop #213). Contact Garrett Seddon for more information if you plan on taking public transportation. If you will arrive by car, please follow the directions to the flight school building below:

If coming from up valley of the airport:

  • Turn left at the Aspen Airport Business Center signal, then turn right on Airport Road (the road that is in between the airport and the highway). Go all the way to the end of the road where you will see a green gate that says gate 7. You will not go through the gate. Park against the building that is to the left of it. You will see Aspen Flight Academy’s logo on the door. Your flight instructor will let you in the building.
